Amy Trotter


Amy was admitted to practice in 2020 at the Supreme Court of Victoria after obtaining a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. Whilst studying, Amy gained insight and perspective into the benefit of developing meaningful client relationships from working in Social Justice and Family Law practices.

Following her admission, Amy has solely practiced in Family Law. Amy assists clients in all areas of Family Law including divorce applications, parenting arrangements, property settlement and intervention order matters. Amy understands the practical and emotional benefits of resolving matters through mediations and negotiations, and aims to achieve the best resolution for her clients without the need for prolonged litigation.

Amy is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Geelong Law Association, Victorian Women Lawyers and Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

Outside of work Amy enjoys spending time with her dog, reading and cooking.
